The Art of Living Fully
Imagine that your life is a spectrum of light and shadow; the light is something dazzling, such as the feeling of being in love. The shadow element may feel like sailing a ship in a storm without sail or rudder, a fear perhaps of drowning under a sea of responsibility or heart break.
Thousands upon thousands of moments of memories and experiences and the emotions and feelings that accompany them are unique aspects of what make you ‘you’.
I wonder if you can imagine being empowered to influence each of these elements by focusing your attention, thoughts and focus?
Organisations such as the HeartMath Institute and books such as Lynne McTaggart’s ‘The Zero Point Field’ and Bruce Lipton’s (Phd) revised and updated ‘ Biology of Belief’, detail the seemingly miraculous unseen waves of energy frequencies that are part of every cell in your body.
The authors highlight how enervating your intent, focus and belief and consciously directing your thought processes, will influence situations outside of the self as well as within.
Thoughts such as good wishes, kindness, love and affection, compassion and prayer, extended to others as well as the self, are proven to change your inner and outer environment and that of others, for the better.
Imagine if every day, for 10 or more minutes, you focus your attention on wishing another person or situation something beautiful and good. Perhaps colleagues, a neighbour, your community, your country or this spectacular and stunning planet.
Imagine yourself in these moments that you are connected and alive. You will ‘live fully’ and realise that you are an intrinsic part of all life.
So, take those few minutes each day. Pause, reflect, wish and watch as your world begins to align with the beauty and goodness you put forth. In this shared experience of humanity, your light can inspire others to shine as well.
After all, what is life if not a series of moments woven together by love, hope, and connection? Why not make your moments a gift, not only to others but to yourself as well?
